About two weeks ago I received a letter from the AFHE (Arizona Families For Home Education) stating that our group was being removed from the AFHE support group list because of keywords like "wicca" and "witch". Since then I have been gathering information on the situation and have found out that they filed for 501 (c) (3) status, in other word not-for-profit status. After receiving a copy of the articles of incorporation for AFHE I found out that nowhere in the info does it say that AFHE is a Christian organization (not even that the board members are Christian which was their reasoning for removing Athena from the support group list). So I am going to pursue it and see what happens. In the meantime please forward this info to anyone you think may be interested and please email or phone them to let them know how unfair this is. If you would like to look at a copy of this letter you can either go to the photos section on the yahoo group or to the front page of the Athena website.
